Sudargas mound complex

In the Middle Ages, here was the location of one of the most important defensive
castles in the battle against the Crusaders, and nowadays it impresses visitors from
the peaks of 5 castle mounds with a widely opening azure view of Nemunas belt. The
complex of Balnakalnis, Žydkapiai, Bevardas, Pilaitė, and Vorpilis castle mounds is
considered to be the most important in the historical, archeological, and cultural
sense after Kernavė.
