Climb up and ejoy the magnificent view of Nemunas as well as the castle mound
surrounded by tales and legends. According to the locals, even their grand
grandparents knew that under the castle mound the are dungeons and the tunnel
leading to the other shore of Nemunas and the nearby Manor of Lower Nemunas
Basin. During the research of the foot of the castle mound, Greek coin of the Roman
emperor Marcus Aurelius was found, as well as horse shoe sahped brooches,
bracelets, molten brass fragments, coarse and smooth pottery.
